I-29 Closure affects route to KCI

Lanes to be closed beginning at 9 p.m., Friday, June 21, until 8 p.m. June 22

Crews will make the following traffic changes as part of continued bridge construction at I-29 and NW Old Tiffany Springs Road in Platte County.

All lanes of southbound I-29 at NW Old Tiffany Springs Rd. will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 21 until 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, for setting bridge girders.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, including I-435 from the Kansas side and I-29 and Route 152 on the Missouri side.

This work has the potential to impact KCI travelers. Motorists are encouraged to make the appropriate adjustments to meet departure and arrival times at KCI Airport. All work is weather dependent.

This is all part of a KCMO Public Works project to build roadway improvements and a new bridge at NW Old Tiffany Springs Road over I-29. Project improvements also include new sidewalks, a walking trail, streetlights and storm sewer.
