February 14 - The Great Backyard Bird Count Annual Event

The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are. Everyone is welcome - from beginning bird watchers to experts. Participants tally the number of individual birds of each species they see during their count period. They enter these numbers on the GBBC Website.

Come to Trailside Center, 9901 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO, on February 14th from 9:30am - 11:30 am. This is a free outdoor event, open to all levels of experience and all ages.

There is a group hike along the paved Indian Creek Trail (about 1 mile). Dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes, and bring binoculars and birding field guides if you have them.
